Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems for both commercial and residential properties in Henrico, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and a passion for ensuring the safety and security of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring they are in proper working order.
- Perform system diagnostics, system upgrades, and programming of fire alarm devices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while explaining system operations to clients.
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Complete all required documentation and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay current on the latest industry standards, codes, and technology advancements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, their components, and related codes (NFPA, UL).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- NICET certification (Level I or II) is a plus, but not required.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
